Cement Plaster Finish combines appropriate plaster, sand, Portland cement, and water commonly applied to masonry interiors and exteriors to provide a smooth surface, with interior surfaces occasionally receiving a final coat of gypsum plaster.
Cement plaster is a combination of Portland cement, sand (fine aggregate), and water in proper quantities that is often applied to the interiors and exteriors of brickwork to provide a smooth surface.
CEMENT PLASTERING WORK:
Cement plaster is usually applied in a single layer with a thickness of 12 mm, 15 mm, or 20 mm, depending on the kind of structure to be plastered.
It comprises the standard proportions of 1:4 (i.e., 1 part cement and four parts sand), although more enormous proportions can be utilized depending on the situation.
When the thickness of the plaster exceeds 15 mm or a more refined finish is needed, cement plaster must place in two coats.
Cement plaster is put with a mason's trowel on the prepared surface between screeds for one coat of plaster.
After applying this plaster, the floor is levelled with a wooden float and straight edges and polished with a trowel.
For two coats of plaster, the first coat, also known as the rough coat, is dashed in opposition to the wall's surface in a layer of 8 mm to 10 mm thickness.
Remember that mortar is dashed over the surface with a trowel to transport the next coat of plaster, allowing the surface of the previous skin to set but not dry.
The coat is then roughened with a second scratching instrument to create a second coat or finishing coat.
Within 48 hours, the finishing coat is put over the moist and challenging surface of the primary skin, and the coat is adequately towelled and smoothed by the wooden float.
Finally, the plaster is allowed to cure for at least seven days.
